You just never know when inspiration lightning will hit. This painting business idea grew from the basic story of a sister helping a sister out. One of my sisters bought a house. My other sister had connections that helped her find and buy this house. My house buying sister made jokes about dedicating a room to my saintly helpful other sister. Before moving day, I took the joke and turned it into a painting. A name plate for the dedicated room door. This painting was done in a rush, but the spark was there. Much to my surprise, my life long creative streak found a happy home in this word art manipulation… Letters joined to make unique graphic shapes, which do not easily identify the word or words that created it in the first place. I have an artistic past; full of drawing, painting, photography, writing, art history, and film snippets which have all led me to here. What is my active meditation, has grown into it’s own little initiative, and thus ART WORD CANVAS began. It’s a puzzle, a brain break, or a drunken party conversation piece! (hint: they all read left to right, up and down)
